Seductive Lies

Vocabulary from the IY Class:
  • deceiving 詐欺罪 (deceive; deceived; deceived)
If I had to describe the situation in one kanji character, I would choose the character gi, which means to deceive. これを一字で表すなら、「欺」ではないだろうか。

We've been deceived and lied to.  私たちは, だまされてデタラメを聞かされてきた.

He is the most honest man I know--he would never try to deceive anyone. (人をだますような人ではない)
